It produces most of Hyundai’s models for the global market, including the Kona, Tucson, Accent, Elantra GT, Veloster, Ioniq, Nexo, Palisade and Genesis.

Montgomery, Alabama

Hyundai’s first US plant, which opened in 2005 and has an annual production capacity of 400,000 vehicle.

However, based on the US sales data for 20221, the most popular Hyundai model was the Tucson, a compact SUV that sold 180,691 units, followed by the Santa Fe, a midsize SUV that sold 137,650 units, and the Elantra, a compact sedan that sold 136,168 units.

These three models accounted for more than half of Hyundai’s total sales in the US in 2022. Other sources23 also rank the Tucson, Santa Fe and Elantra among the best Hyundai cars in terms of quality, performance, features and value.
